He doubles as the Director, Teaching and Learning Enhancement at the College of Science and Technology of the University of Rwanda. Whereas Alex founded a small architecture practice and from time to time offers leadership, most of his current work focusses on enhancement of science and technology education and bridging the apparent academia and industry gap.

A former Chairman of the Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners (PCATP) as well as Vice President of the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA). He is actively helping to deliver sustainable development of the built environment in the Commonwealth.

Vincent is a former President of the CAA. He is currently the President of the Kamra tal-Periti, National Delegate to the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE) and the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers (FICE) and of the Institute of Health Estate Engineering Management (FIHEEM). He served as Director General of Public Works until February 2023 when he was appointed Chair of the Environment and Resources Authority Board.

Ian is CAA Vice President, Americas. He is Past Vice-President, Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects. He has provided the World Bank with his expertise for their civil works programs throughout the region. This included being part of their disaster assessment team for St.Maarten in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and inputting into the disaster recovery plan. Ian is Consultant (Education) for the World Bank: Resilience in Caribbean Education (2020).

She is a Masters student at the University of Nairobi where her research is in sustainable urban design for safe, liveable and breathable cities. As part of the Urban Planning Technical Committee for Nairobi City, she aims to bridge the gap between research in sustainable design and policymaking in Kenya. She holds volunteer leadership positions at the Architectural Association of Kenya, Women in Real Estate Society and the East Africa Institute of Architects.

Llewellyn van Wyk

Llewellyn is a former CAA President. He also served as President of the Cape Institute of Architects, President of the South African Institute of Architects, and Director for Sustainability for Region V, UIA. He has lectured extensively around the globe and currently lectures at the University of Johannesburg in the Master of Sustainable Energy programme. He is the recipient of several awards including the Mayor of Cape Town’s Greening Award, and the CSIR President’s Award of Excellence. Llewellyn has a long history of engagement with the teaching and practice of architecture.
